You look very good, I prefer clipless curling irons, are a lot easier to use. I use the Karmin Salon Pro Clipless tourmaline curling Iron and it works great. :)
From what I know Pin Curls are done differently, those are actually called Croquignole curls(I could be wrong) I do my hair like that often it super easy and comes out great..such a simple way to get a vintage hairstyle..
