  1. It might straighten SOME but the ends will most likely be flipped out or under (depending on which way you use it). It won't give you pin-straight hair.

  2. I love it, and I'm thinking about getting it.
I was wondering though.. Does it actually straighten hair as well?
It is called a flat iron..?
Sorry if you mention this in the video, but the sound om my pc isn't working, so ;)

  4. That is true, however, with this iron, the curls are tighter than with a regular flat plated flat iron, unless it's a 1/2".

  5. If it has the normal, flat, plates like the original chi, then it won't work. This has different plates shown at 2:08

  6. No, not really. It only seems like that b/c you can't really fully clamp the iron down, or it won't pull though smoothly. It wasn't actually pulling hairs out, though. And sometimes, if you have too much product in your hair, the iron will heat it up, making it sticky and you can't pull it through easily. Does that make since?

  8. when you slide it down, it seems like it's not going very smoothly, it seems like it's snagging your hair, is it?

  9. The plates are 3/4" but they are not flat. If you want a small iron with flat plates look at the CHI Turbo 7/10", Corioliss SXE Ultra Slim or the HAI Twig.

  10. No, because the plates are different.

  11. can you get the same type of curls with like a regular chi straightener? would it still be as volumizing?

  12. It won't give you stick straight hair, since the plates are curved, but it will smooth out your hair and give a bit of a rounded look or you can flip out the ends. Hope that helps!

  17. Unfortunately I do not, however when you start the top layer of "curls", just start at the middle of the piece of hair and not at the root.

  18. Sometimes layers at the top look best when curled only half way up. You might try that, and see how they lay. Sometimes you just really need to work with how your hair lays. I HATE hot rollers because I can never get my hair to lay right, at the top, when I take them out! Hehe. HTH!

  20. Hi !
I really like the way your straightener curls! But since its curved like that does it still straighten?

  21. You can straighten however it won't be stick straight as with a straightener, b/c of the curve of the plates. It will be more of a rounded look or an easy straight to flipped out look. You can curl with the original CHI, so unless you want a more spiral curl or the volume, I'd go with that one.
