This is my experience with the CHI flat iron and CHI Turbo Curling Iron. The guarantee states: Farouk Systems, Inc. offers a guarantee of one (1) year from date of purchase against defects cased by faulty material or workmanship. Not covered by the guarantee are steel parts, plastic parts, flex cord, as well as damages caused by improper handling. Sounds somewhat contradicting....you be the judge!
also the plugs aren't bulky like that(: they are just basically the tongs covered by rubber attached to the wire. No buttons or anything. That's another difference
ReplyDeletemy chi flat iron says "global beauty, network inc." on both of the sides..
ReplyDeletei think yours aren't authentic. i bought mine at jcp salon 2 years ago & still works great(:
so r u saying its better to buy chi from jcpenny online?
ReplyDeleteThat's exactly what my sister would do! Now, she can't use my CHI.
ReplyDeleteI've gone through 1 CHI flat iron; It was dropped a lot and shared with my little sister who wasn't careful, but lasted for a good three years. Luckily, my mom had a brand new one lying around (not literally), still package in her closet. She let me have it; I absolutely love the CHI flat iron and all the CHI products. I have had it for over two years now, no problems. Of course, I am taking better care of it. Both were purchased at CVS. FYI I have course, curly hair.
ReplyDeleteI have the same flat iron and that didn't happen it might he because (I know my sister does this) you unplug the chord and then just drop it on the floor! Idk
ReplyDeletei worked at jcpenney and they gave me mine and it broke also after a year
ReplyDeleteit's different every where..
ReplyDeleteIt's probably wherever you had it in storage. Like if it was in your bathroom it was probably getting to much heat from the shower/bath. '
ReplyDeleteLol wow thats a horrible guarantee
ReplyDeleteIt might just be you lol or who ever is selling them to you because I have four CHI's and none of them have this problem . IBought All Mine at JCPenney Salon .
ReplyDeletewhere to buy a good chi?
ReplyDeleteI had the Chi flatiron for about 2 years now, i bought it in TJmaxx, and it's still in perfect shape and works great
ReplyDeleteive had that straightener for like as long as i can remember and it is in perfect sape....wonder what happened o yours
ReplyDeleteYou got soooo ripped off! Thanks for informing us.
ReplyDeleteYour so funny!
ReplyDelete"don't shoot me"
Lol
k thanks
ReplyDeleteMost likely although I've never seen any there
ReplyDeleteare the chi's at walmart fake
ReplyDeleteThnx for the info, I personally prefer the Karmin G3 Salon Pro, works amazing :P
ReplyDeleteThe CHIS at Target are fake in case you all didn't know... =/
ReplyDeleteI've also had my CHI for about 4 years and it worked very well... but one night i used it and everything was fine. the next day it would not turn on, and when it did it was blinking. I know this happens to a lot of people. I think the CHIS in ther video are real though because the knockoff plugs do not look like that.
ReplyDeletein my very own opinion since i have alot of hair and curly and frizzy i need a professional straighten so i have one that is G.A.M.A from Italy is one of the best straighten in the world! i had use before Chi flat iron the original one and it ruined my hair and it didn´t straighten my hair that much. so in my own opinion i think that chi flat iron sucks. i like those irons which are really famous and that won´t break easily.
ReplyDelete''popeedddd offff'' (:
ReplyDeletei got the same straightner!! and tht did not happen to me! i v had mine for about 3 or 4 years max! @butterflyzhaven
